We're so excited to finally share something we've been working on behind the scenes... the brand new itsy Bitsy HQ is here!
If you've followed our journey since the early days, you'll know that out beautiful boutique at 132 Market Street has always been the heart of everything we do. But over time, we began to outgrow it. Between growing demand online and in-store, packing orders, shooting weekly content, hosting events, preparing stock, and delivering the same fabulous service, it became clear that we needed more room to truly thrive.
So, we took the leap and split our world in two: the boutique stays just as you know and love it, and now, we have a dedicated home for all the magic that happens behind the scenes.
Our new HQ will be the hub for everything you don't usually see - admin, creative planning, and (most excitingly) a brand-new photo studio where we can capture beautiful, on-brand content to showcase everything you love about IB. This space is a real game-changer. It's a big step, but it's going to allow us to do everything better - for our customers, our team, and the future of itsy Bitsy.
When I first joined the business, I was 18, fresh out of college, very shy, and unsure what was next. My mum gave me the opportunity to help out a few days a week, steaming and tagging clothes. In my first week, I had the idea to make a 'Week in Outfits' video. I filmed it on my camera, edited it at home... and somehow, it blew up. Over 10,000 views. Hundreds of comments. We were speechless.
That little video lit a spark. We cleared a tiny space to shoot content, started uploading regularly, and before long, we were going live on Facebook every Friday. From there, the business started to evolve, and so did I.
Since then, we've hosted fashion shows, travelled the country buying collections, built an incredible community, and even picked up a few business awards along the way.
It's taken a lot of hard work, a lot of growing up, and a whole lot of belief - especially from all of you. Your kindness, encouragement, loyalty, and constant support have shaped my confidence more that you'll ever know.
This HQ is something I've dreamed about for years. And something my mum always encouraged me to work towards.
There are still a few boxes left to unpack and a bit of DIY to finish, but we're moving in this week, and we're so excited for what 2025 holds. From longer opening hours and a growing team, to having more time and space to create and plan, it's only just the beginning.
To my mum, my best friend, thank you for giving me that first chance, for always having my back, and for letting me film that random outfit video all those years ago.
A huge thank you to my dad and brother too, who, between running their own business, have put in countless hours to help build this space and make another one of our grand plans a reality.
We know that things might have felt a little quiet online lately, thank you so much for bearing with us during this huge transition. Between DIY, painting walls, shifting furniture, keeping the shop running as normal, and building something really special, we're just about ready to settle into our new rhythm.
And no - it's not quiet the launch of an IB department store (not yet, anyway), but we hope you'll share in our joy and wish us love and luck as we take this next leap.
I'm so proud of how far we've come, and I'm very excited to soon start building my own team here at HQ, to help bring you more of the magic you know and love.
