Things to do when you're here
Chapel (as us locals like to call it) is a quant country town located in High Peak, Derbyshire. Dubbed the 'Capital of the Peak'.
Our cobbled market square still holds lots of history including the famous market stocks. All around Chapel the streets are lined with friendly businesses and delightful food spots, including cafes and pubs. Not only is Chapel great for it's supportive local community and independent shops, our town is also surrounded by incredible scenery. From stunning country walks, cycling trails and picnic spots, there is something for everyone.
For the more adventurous bunch, we have some spectacular rock climbing destinations, including the local beauty spot Castle Naze. Chapel's war memorial park offers a lovely relaxing open space for you and your family to enjoy a picnic or take the dog for a run around the field. Just outside our shop sits a Gold Olympic post box which honours Anthony Kappes who won a gold medal in the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Chapel is reachable by both bus and train with the commute line running straight from Manchester Piccadilly to Chapel-en-le-Frith.
If you are visiting Chapel, make sure to pop into itsy Bitsy, where you will be met with a warm welcome from our team. Our boutique is a little Aladdin's Cave of beautiful hand selected pieces and we're sure you'll find something to take back home.
Enjoy your stay in the Peak District, we hope to see you soon.
